The project will comprise of co-constructed and co-delivery 5-hour weekly sessions between Batchelor Institute and senior Tiwi speakers and teachers. The senior Tiwi language teachers who are driving this project are graduates of the Batchelor Associate and Diploma of Teaching programs in the 1990s that were designed for first language speakers of an Australian Indigenous language, to teach students who are first languages speakers of an Australian Indigenous Language.
