Betty Warlapinni

Hi! My name is Betty Warlapinni and I teach Tiwi language. At Batchelor, I work in VET delivering Certificate III in Learning a First Nation's Language and Certificate IV in Teaching a First Nation's Language. I also work on the 'Making Tiwi Strong' project to work on passing on our Tiwi language to the young ones. It is important to me to regain language programs in the schools and help teachers in the classroom to teach Tiwi, to get our language back strong and talking Tiwi in our community.
